Description

The magnificently bluish-green Tsivlou lake near Akrata lies a good 800 meters above sea level, considered very important for the local ecology and culture. Curiously, the lake was formed in 1913 after landfalls and resulting blockage of the Krathis river.

“We started from Kalavrita and went up to the Ski Resort and from there we took the road to Zarouchla to the lake. Wonderful changes in the landscape, until we reach the uniquely beautiful lake Tsivlou. In the lake one can swim, swim, rest, “Find taverns or do some activities such as canoeing. The landscape is enchanting. Highly recommended for a day trip with easy access from Akrata and a beautiful route from Kalavrita.”
