River Trekking

River trekking enthusiasts will find their ultimate “go to” destination in Aegialia, in the waters of Selinountas river.
The river flows from the eastern slopes of Mount Erymanthos with northward direction. Its crossing takes 8 hours and when necessary, hiking continues on the river bank and on the opposite side. If you want to see the waterfall, follow the river near the Holy Monastery of Taxiarches. A comfortable trail will take you there, to get to the opposite bank. After passing by the village Kounina, you will go downhill to Selinountas river. In less than 2 hours you will get to the gorge of Trano Lagadi and its waterfalls.
