Description
The Gravina di Riggio is one of the many natural canyons in the Terra delle Gravine Regional Natural Park, and its beauty makes it one of the most suggestive. A wonderful path will take you to visit it.
Completely located in a private property, it is advisable to ask permission from the owners before entering and enjoying the many beauties offered by this magical place, alternatively you can contact the many guides in the area.
A valley very rich in caves, both natural and artificial, there is also a small lake with a small natural waterfall, absent in some periods (unique in Puglia), and many testimonies of prehistoric settlements.
Some of the caves that can be visited still have frescoes dating back to the 10th century AD, which are among the oldest in southern Italy.
